Superhero Bedroom!
Happy Monday everyone!
I am excited to show you a special room transformation today.
If you have been reading this blog for a while, you might remember my daughter and her family moved into a new home in January of this year.
I shared with you the way we transformed my granddaughter’s room into a room fit for a princess. You can find that transformation HERE.
At the same time, we also began the transformation of my grandson’s room into a Superhero Bedroom. If you remember our superhero’s birthday party, you know how much he loves those superhero characters.
Here’s a quick picture of the room before the transformation.
10 Ideas for a Superhero Bedroom!
1. Choose a wall color in a Superhero color. We began by painting the woodwork in the room white. Three of the walls were painted in a gray tone and the fourth, an accent wall, in a deep blue.
2. Use bedding to coordinate with the Superhero colors. We loved this bed set found at Pottery Barn Kids, as it can easily transition to other themes in the future.
3. Use an industrial light fixture to add a masculine touch. This one at Menard’s was perfect.
4. Add a Superhero mural to the wall. Captain America can easily be removed and can be found at Fathead.com along with a wide variety of other murals.
5. Use Superhero prints to add to the theme for wall hangings. These prints found at Kirkland’s were perfect.
6. Include your child’s initial on the wall to add a personal touch to the room. We found this large initial at Hobby Lobby and painted it a color to coordinate with the room.
7. Coordinate accessories used in the room by using accents colors. A lamp and rug helped pull the colors together.
8. Don’t keep those special toys in a basket; use them to add to the theme of the room. This Superhero set found at Target makes a great display on top of the dresser.
9. Inexpensive Halloween masks can be placed on the wall or used on the end of the bed. Simple removable “Command” hooks can be used to hold them in place.
10. Nothing is better than your child’s own private space. This hanging tent found at Pottery Barn creates the perfect “nook” for our little guy.
For a boy who dreams about Superheroes, this bedroom is a favorite!
